first visit

First visit to Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past weekend and I have to admit I was slightly impressed. The neighborhood felt like a small, cozy yet very much a part of NYC. Though I don't see myself living in such a town-like area, where eye contact and strolling is the norm, I must appreciate the mixture of architecture where old and charming shared the same lot as new and modern. Though the two aesthetics are different they complemented each other well in this friendly environment where different felt special. The thrifting, vintage, and flea options where too good to be true. And I must admit that there were nearly just as many food options as in my "hood" UWS aka upper westside home to nanny's, strollers, and dogs haha :-)
